Grandview Respite Center
Yedei Chesed has two respite beds located in our children's IRA at 130 Grandview Avenue, Monsey, New York. These beds are available as a short term respite opportunity for young children ages birth to twelve who have OPWDD eligibility and approval for this service from the DDRO. The Home is wheelchair accessible and can serve children with some medical needs that are not complex or that require a 1:1 nurse. Due to the fragile nature of the ten permanent residents of the home,
children with severe behavioral issues are not able to be accommodated. These respite beds are for planned rather than emergency respite. Reservations must be made in advance and beds are subject to availability. There is an admissions process that generally requires ten business days to complete. Children will not be allowed in the home until the entire process is complete.
