Housing Subsidy

Interested in Self-Directing your Housing Subsidy?

An OPWDD Housing Subsidy could be right for you, if you meet the following criteria:

 

  • Are currently living independently.*

  • Are living or interested in living in an integrated setting in your community.

  • Listed or will be listed on a Lease.

  • Can financially contribute at least 30% of your monthly rent.

  • Are willing to work with your Circle of Support to recertify your Housing Subsidy annually.

*Even if living with family or others, so long as the Self-Directing Individual is listed on the lease or mortgage with full tenancy/housing rights, they may be eligible for an OPWDD Housing Subsidy (provided they meet all other OPWDD criteria).
